Poor little Red Riding Hood
just another groove
in the blunt of the whip
comforted by the news
that her mother
was killed by the scarecrow
in the dark of the woods,
black birds pecking
her eyes out now.
Poor little Red Riding Hood
hides in the leaves-
in the brush of those woods
so the woodsman
can't find her
hoping the wolf still can.
