My dream left knee

Left foot, left knee
Right foot

My dream left leg
was double long as my
right leg-
left foot, left knee
right foot.
And I woke with a sore knee
nearly eight inches
not a foot wide
2 days later
from half my calf
to toe tips-
nothing! numb!
I know the foot
moves only because
a foot typically obeys
and I told her
move along, sister.
But she's as numb
as a dead rat.
Look at that knee.
She's lasted 24 years,
ole girl.
